The tacos are rich, my kids liked the burritos. Definitely worth eating there
Yes
Tasty burritos worthy of burrito coma.
Picture that torta with chips, that's what I ate at El Abajeno, it feels like a cafeteria, & I feel like buying a El Abajeno t-shirt. Good service.WMS#54
Authentic Mexican cuisine in a restaurant that has an “at home†feel to it. The menudo is FANTASTIC. The service was incredible and quick despite the high volume of customers that had rushed in around the same time as us! I’m from Houston and have more than my fair share of Mexican restaurants to choose from so it’s rare that a Mexican restaurant in another town/city/state impresses me but THIS place does!
I get to eat here a lot since I work nearby. I must say the service is always great and they keep the place well kept regularly. Pricing is affordable and they serve generous portions.
Great breakfast burrito. Got two for the trip home from Lax, we only ate one as they're the size of a small house. Good service too and the sauce is hotter than the sun! Saving the next one for tomorrow!
Dirty but colorful, good food, sad corn tortillas, salty salty steak, cooked as i asked, refills are cunbersone because they are behind the teller, good variety, i will not return.
Always great best Mexican food ever.
I've been coming here for 45 years and it's the best carnitas burritos you ever eat
Amazing Mexican food. The only thing I didnt like from here was the Chilaquiles. Everything else is bomb. I've been going here for over 10 years and it's consistently great every time. The Huevos Rancheros are one of the best I've had.
Just love this restaurant. Have been coming here for 20 years. Even though prices are going up the food is still top notch. Just be prepared that anything extra will cost you.
Thanks to thee friendly service there and great food me and my wife will definitely come back and visit...
Love this place. The food is so good, cheap, and the portions are BIG. I always get the beef burrito (wet) with beans and rice, it's only $5.75! I've also had the Super Tostada which is a BIG plate of nachos. So...yeah. This is a great hole in the wall Mexican joint that I highly recommend. Side note: Sundays are always busy because there's a Catholic Church a block away.
Wonderful service and incredible meal that feels like if your Tia made it and brought you to happy, simpler times, and prepared incredibly fast
Staff wasnt friendly at all, person that took my order was very abrupt never smiled, cashier same. But the taco was delicious
Bomb AF. High quality everything. I recommend the burrito de res mojado
Love this place I been going to this restaurant Since I was 10 years old and it still taste the same so good
It was pretty good just a little pricey. $30 for two burritos and two sodas.
Best Mexican food around. The workers are very friendly. I've been going there for 20 years and it seems to get better each time.
Since I tasted the first soft taco en menudo is only the 2 things I eat for years.
BEST PLACE EVER!! NO WHERE ON EARTH CAN YOU OBTAIN A CARNITAS TACO LIKE THIS PLACE, THE MEAT JUST DISSOLVES IN YOUR MOUTH. ALL FOOD IS OUTSTANDING. NICE BIG TAMALES, FRESH MENU DO, GIGANTIC PORTIONS
Fast service and a menu where almost all Mexican favorites are available. Portions are on the large size and a good value for the price. One of the best stops in LA for authentic Mexican cuisine.
Bomb Mexican Food!
Food Looks good. I came here to try the menudo. I hope my taste buds like it as much as my eye sight. And beer is available as well. Great employees too.
One taste is all it takes. Got some hard shell beef tacos and I thought I order a relleno and lada. But instead I got a male and lada. 🤪 still all very good. By the way order by food names I ordered by number. And I forgot to ask for a take out menu. 😡 still food was very good, service moves fast, and even though the parking lot was full it rotated quickly. Next time I’ll plan on dining in. Also have to try the burrito that I was originally told about way before I knew about this place. Oh yeah the horchata was nice not at all grainy or heavy. Come hungry and leave full that’s all I have to say. 😜
So delicious! Even the basics like rice and beans were phenomenal. The staff was friendly and I got a burrito the size of my head. I will definitely visit here again.
Not bad would try it again if I'm in the area
The lengua and carnitas tacos were sublimely flavored. Helpful and friendly staff to boot.
Have been coming here for 30 years. Never disappoints! It's a solid place for Central Mexican food. Cafeteria style, order, carry your food to your table and enjoy! Love their Chile rojo.
Love it grew up eating El Abajeno Tacos de carnitas 👌
Great food, when I'm sick I get their soup. So good
Great Mexican Food, Generous Portions at Reasonable Prices
There is lots of Mexican food to be found in Los Angeles. El Abajeno may very well be the best of the lot.If you want fancy, go somewhere else. If you want consistently excellent food for a very reasonable price, then this is the place to be.It is one of those places where you order from the counter. They put your food together right there in front of you. Then they hand it to you and you go sit down and enjoy. What you get looks just like what comes out of the kitchen at a sit-down Mexican restaurant that charges twice as much for the same meal. What they are lacking in presentation, they more than make up for in quality. All of their food it top notch. I've never had a bad meal there. The refried beans are the best anywhere and the carne asade is really over the top.Good food. Big portions. Great prices. Homey atmosphere and no tipping. It doesn't get any better!
Food here is usually really good. It's one of the only Mexican food spots I can eat at and not feel like garbage with heartburn.
Looking for an authentic Mexican comfort food, then this is the place for you. Nothing fancy about this place but only great tasting enchiladas, super tostada , super-sized burritos, tacos and so much more. Prices are also great, very reasonable and generous servings. This is the go-to-place to satisfy your cravings for real Mexican fare!
Food is very good. Fast service. Place is very clean. Workers are friendly and price isn't to high. Tamale plate is very good. Burritos are big and tasty. I always leave full.
Definitely worth going to! Delicious! I got El Abajeno burrito with Chile Verde, beans, cheese lettuce tomato wet. And it's big, I mean BIG! Like enough for 2 - 4 people and delicious 😋You can order it however you want with choice of meat, beans, rice, lettuce, tomato, sauce, onions and jalapeno. Even though it's $12.50+ it can feed 4 people, or yourself for a day or two.
Great food. @ a good price. Parking is a little small lot but the portions of carnitas makes up for it.
It's real authentic Mexican food so good it's been at the same location for many years.
Awesome place. I drive from West Covina to eat there. This has been my favorite restaurant for 35 years.
My uncle took me to this beautiful restaurant in Culver City not knowing that my grandparents would dine here all the time ..we have such richness in our heritage as Mexican people .. my plate I ordered enchiladas rice and beans with horchata and it is mouth-watering.... I moved to Tennessee in 1992 â£ï¸â£ï¸â£ï¸
Their carnitas taquitos are amazing! It's more like a jumbo street taco than what you traditionally think of with taquitos. They don't skimp on the meat. All of the meat there is amazing and tastes like when your mom had it in the slow cooker all day long.
Great food. Great Service. This place has been an L.A. favorite for almost 50 years
Great place. Family friendly. Great food and service.
Hugest burrito I've ever had in my life! Enough to satisfy 2 people! So good! Went two days in a row! El Abajeno chunky beef with meat sauce! Yummy!
Good food, employees fixing the food DON'T WEAR THE GLOVES! they're in a box hanging on the wall. We had to ask the worker to wear them. She was supprised.
Huge food, small prices, very tasty. Four stars only because mine could have been a little hotter when served. Salsas were delicious, Chile Verde was super.
The best Mexican food in town, been going there for years, worth the drive. Take out or eat in. Cafeteria style no waiters beer only. Try their El Abajeno burrito enough for two with leftovers ðŸ˜
A friend recommend we stop here while driving through Culver City. The food was delicious and the staff were extremely friendly.
Food is always Bomb they just need to let people know they have a loose guacamole and a real chunky gucamole other than that i love this place
